Ironing. You either love it or hate it. But whichever camp you fall into, one thing is certain. The Steamglide Iron from Russell Hobbs makes easy work of a challenging task. Thanks to its streamlined stainless steel soleplate, clever functions such as a powerful vertical steam, a choice of 35 g continuous steam or a 90 g shot of steam, plus spray and burst features, you can get to grips with those creases in one go.
Russell Hobbs has been designing household appliances over 60 years. So, it is little wonder the Steamglide iron incorporates features such as an easy fill 300 ml transparent water tank so you can check your water at a glance, an anti-drip function and a soft touch handle and dial to make ironing more comfortable.
Although it has several functions, it’s a really easy appliance to use – whether you’re new to ironing or you have been in charge of the laundry basket for years, the Steamglide iron will not disappoint.
Let’s Get Started
Before you use your Steamglide for the first time, remove labels, stickers and packaging from the iron and soleplate. When you switch it on, don’t worry if it smokes a bit at first, this is normal for a new iron and it’ll stop as the element cures.
Try it out on an old piece of cotton fabric, to clean the soleplate before ironing your clothes and press all the buttons a few times to try them out.
You may use the iron with tap-water, but if you live in a hard water area, you should use distilled water that is especially for use in irons. Before filling, make sure the iron is unplugged, the temperature control is at and the steam control is turned to S#2.
Open the water inlet cover and fill the iron holding the soleplate level. Pour slowly, so that any air in the reservoir will escape and don’t exceed the maximum level.
